Did you know Keller-Brown has a Florida office?  Well, that's a bit of a stretch considering it's in my home.  I've been with the agency since 1999 and was heartbroken when I had to turn in my resignation in 2008.  My husband took a job in Florida and I would have to say goodbye to my Pennsylvania life. Fortunately, around the time of my notice, Joy Keller-Brown was responding to emails during a break at a seminar.  She realized that since most of my work doesn't involve direct contact with clients, I could probably continue to do my job from my house. In light of the COVID-19 disruption, I'm so proud to have played a part in their disaster response plan.  My venture into remote working was just the beginning but paved the way to allowing them to retain top-notch talent wherever they may live, to provide work from home arrangements for the entire team for weather events or pandemic, and most importantly, to service our clients during any disaster.

Education is very important to me, and to Keller-Brown. I obtained my Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 2011.  Obtaining the designation involved taking a series of courses and passing 5 exams. After a few years, I wanted another challenge, so in 2018, I obtained my CISR Elite designation, which meant more classes and exams!  The courses have definitely made me a better insurance advisor within our agency.

Like most of my teammates, I wear many hats and have a few job titles.  Being an Assistant Protection Analyst gives me the opportunity to take on a customer perspective.  Processing changes and renewals for our customers with our company partners and working with Protection Analysts in our Keller-Brown office to give our customers the best customer service experience. My customer-focused approach gives me the ability to take insurance terminology, submit changes to our company partners while still presenting to our customers in words that are actually understandable.

The agency has been growing, and in 2019, Keller-Brown promoted me to Quality Assurance and Business Process Leader.  I love using my experience to help train my peers and find efficiencies within the agency. 

I still visit my family in Pennsylvania a few times a year love getting face time with co-workers.  I always make a point to make several trips to Brown's Orchards while I'm here, too. Florida has been a great home to me. In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy spending time on our boat, exploring old Florida towns, state parks, history, and military museums. We also make time to explore all of the Florida beaches and collect as many shark teeth as we can find.
