David Fishel

In 2017, we welcomed H. N. Fishel Agency to the Keller-Brown Insurance Services family! In addition to all of the great customers, having Dave Fishel on our team has been one of the best parts of the union.  Dave has added his extensive insurance experience to our group, allowing us to better serve our customers and businesses in the area. I have been involved in the insurance industry my entire life.  My grandfather, H. Norman Fishel, started an insurance agency in 1947.  He was later joined by my father, Evans N. Fishel, and I eventually became involved in the business full-time in 1986.  When my father and other agency employees contemplated retirement, we searched for another insurance agency sharing our same family values.  After speaking with Joy, Jeff and Sarah, we knew Keller-Brown shared those values.  After working at Keller-Brown for over four years, I am sure we made the right decision.

As the Supervisor of Personal Lines Insurance, the best part of my job is encouraging and educating my team to provide superior service to our customers and prospects.  This role has taught me to be patient, but firm, as my team develops new skills.  I also enjoy working with customers and assisting with our technology systems to make sure the business runs smoothly from one day to the next.

I have always loved working with computers and was happy to be included on the implementation team when we upgraded our agency management system.  Learning the new system was challenging but allowed me to use my skills to help the entire team make the necessary adjustments. 

I have been a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) since 1989 and enjoy the need to continue my education in the insurance business.  Every day is a learning experience.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing baritone sax with a couple of big band/jazz groups.  Music is an important part of my life and I was involved with Dallastown High School's marching band for 11 years until my recent retirement.  Getting to spend time with my kids and grandkids is very special as my wife and I usually only get to spend a few hours with them each month.

Having worked from home during the pandemic has allowed me the opportunity to show that I will be able to continue working for Keller-Brown even after I move to Myrtle Beach in a few years!
