Client Spotlight: Mudhook Brewing Company
Roughly 10 years ago, Jeff Lau was an insurance agent and his son-in-law, Tim Wheeler, was an engineer. Neither knew anything about running a craft brew pub, but between their brains and business acumen, they established one of York's most beloved craft breweries: Mudhook Brewing Co.
When Tim was just 22, he attended the Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago to make a profession out of a passion. He joined eager brewers from around the world to learn the best brewing practices and brought that new-found knowledge back to York. Tim and Jeff spent a year preparing Mudhook for its inaugural launch. Having a solid plan from the outset is one of the reasons they've persisted in downtown York.
Mudhook was the first brewery in all of York County and in July, they'll celebrate 9 years of bringing some of the best brews to town. Their menu is tasty and their beer is cold and smooth. Mudhook not only has a wide variety of their own beers, but also pours many of the area's favorite wines and spirits.
When Jeff fully retired as an insurance agent, he chose Keller-Brown to insure his business. Of all the options in the area, it's a high honor to have an insurance professional designate Keller-Brown to protect the livelihood of his business. The only thing we ask of Jeff is that we conduct our annual review at his establishment, and that they start around 3:00 pm. Afterwards, we make sure to hang around and help support his business!
