Keller-Brown talked to co-owner Jason Hoffman to learn more about the company and its top-to-tail grooming services.

Keller-Brown: How did Bark of the Town - York get started?
Jason: The business started with Pam Sprenkle in 2008. Pam had a vision of bringing quality pet grooming services to the York community and I was excited to be a part of the business with her. As partners, Pam brought the grooming talent and I handled the business structuring and development.
Keller-Brown: What services do you offer?
Jason: We are a full-service pet grooming salon that offers the York community walk-in and appointment services. Your pets can have nail trimmings, grindings, baths, and brushouts using the highest quality products. We offer full grooming as well.
Keller-Brown: Why should pet parents trust your company to take care of their furry friends?
Jason: Not only does Bark of the Town - York employ the most passionate groomers who are truly invested in the happiness of the fur babies they work with, but they have been trained by one of the best. Our team is knowledgeable in all areas of pet grooming. As pet owners themselves, all of our groomers know what they expect of a pet grooming experience and ensure their clients leave with that experience. Collectively, our groomers have over 40 years of experience.
Additionally, our groomers are like family. They're a team that cares about your pets and each other. They really stepped up during covid and I'm proud of the culture we've created together.
Keller-Brown: What's your favorite dog breed and why?
Jason: Bark of the Town -York's creation was inspired by our own English Bulldogs, Bogart and Daisy. Clients can see the inspiration of Bogart and Daisy when they look at our business logo. You would be hard-pressed to find a dog breed that is not loved and appreciated by all those who work at Bark of the Town - York.

Keller-Brown: What are some other local businesses you like to support?
Jason: Professionally, we enjoy working with Dr. Amin at Hallam Animal Hospital, Geier's Construction and Iron Work, Bill Sprenkle at the Log Cabin Bee Farm of York, and Moul and Company Accounting.
Personally, we love to support Red Rose Restaurant and Lounge, The First Post pub, Atomic Bin Cleaning, Robbie Holtzman at Movement Mortgage, and Sean Fitzpatrick at Apple Subaru.
