Logan's View Winery is known for quality wines and attention to detail, but what excites wine shop manager Rebecca Dougherty most about opening their doors at a second location? Expanding to a locally-owned supermarket, Saubel's! "We're looking forward to getting things going and seeing where our expansion takes us," Rebecca shared.
The conversation was mutual between Logan's View Winery and Saubel's Markets, both identifying the opportunity to drive more customers interested in wine sales. The winery officially opened this second location on March 18th with success: "Shoppers have been amazing! Keep your eyes open for tastings in the future."

"There's a need for an ice cream place for local people and people passing through," owner Karen Dietrich says. "This will really make downtown Glen Rock look nice."

For over two years, she had planned on opening her own business to provide fresh and good Chinese takeout food to the York community. Alison Marqua, owner of Love Sown Family Farm, opened her business as a way to integrate multiple interests into one cohesive lifestyle — allowing her and her family to enrich the community by sharing their passion for quality heirloom produce.
"Being able to take our love of food and gardening and grow that from a hobby into a business while still being home with our young children, and to have it be a shared experience, is a bit of a utopian ideal that we have managed to turn into our reality," Alison says. "As we enter our second season, we are really excited to be able to offer more information on the food that we grow and how to best utilize it through recipes, storage, cooking tips, and nutrition information so we can help our community develop the same healthy relationship with their food that we are working to instill in our own families."

Lindsey Barnes, owner of Fern.ish Home, opened her shop last July to fill the void left by the transition to big box stores and e-commerce sites where consumers purchase products they never touch or see. When a customer walks into Fern.ish, they can see the designs firsthand, feel the quality, and can talk to Lindsey about the placement and size in their home.
"There are still many people who prefer the interaction of someone knowledgeable in product and design," Lindsey says. "What I design and what we sell is curated for a discerning buyer. They may be looking to redesign an entire room or they could simply be searching for that one signature decor piece."
By opening her own business, Lindsey also enjoys being her own boss and the reactions from customers when they love how their home makes them feel.
