You've likely experienced it first-hand: mail delays impacting the amount of time it takes to receive your mail or mail you've sent to reach its destination. The USPS released a statement recently about the historic increase in shipping demand over the holidays, amplified by the precautions being taken to protect both employees and our communities from the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Take a proactive approach
As mail delays continue to affect both businesses and individuals across the country, we recognize this situation also affects correspondence between Keller-Brown Insurance Services and our customers. Customers have been sharing their experiences with the delays, one noting she only knew an invoice had been sent by checking online:
My auto invoice was mailed on Dec. 7, followed by a past due reminder on Jan. 4. I can see when they were mailed by checking my account online. I didn't receive the initial invoice until Jan. 6, and I paid online to avoid any further delays with my policy. I still haven't received the past due reminder!
Here are some tips to help you counteract mail delays:
- Be Proactive: Avoid any mail delays by proactively checking the status of your account online. Simply visit www.keller-brown.com/billing, select your insurance carrier and provide your policy number and ZIP code. Most companies allow online payments via credit card or ACH out of a checking account without incurring additional fees.
- Create an Account: Check to see if your insurance provider has created an account on their website or if you have the option to do so. You may be able to handle payments and other transactions on their website!
- Automatic Payments: You can set-up automatic payments with your bank or insurance company to avoid late payments or fees affecting your policies.
- Call If Necessary: Call times have been long for providers and customers attempting to verify the status of accounts. Avoid the frustration of long wait times and attempt to process your transaction online, calling only if you need additional assistance. If you're still unable to process your transaction online, we would be happy to assist you with your payment at (717) 235-6891.
Check your status online
Despite the ongoing mail delays in our area, we make it easy for you to verify the status of your account or billing history online - all you'll need to get started is your policy number and ZIP code. Visit www.keller-brown.com/billing, select your insurance company and follow the automated prompts. If the provider associated with your direct bill policy is not listed, please refer to your policy.
