How long have you worked for Keller-Brown Insurance?
On September 13, I will have been part of the Keller-Brown Insurance Services team as a Commercial Lines Protection Analyst for 1 year. Time flies when you're part of a great team!
Can you share insight into your background and experience?
I took the plunge into the insurance world 16 years ago. I adjusted claims with a national carrier for two years before transitioning into the agency world 14 years ago. Once I made that decision, there was no turning back. Before my introduction to the world of insurance, I waited tables and worked as a bartender after college. Believe it or not, those skills translate very well into my current position!
What makes the Keller-Brown Insurance experience special for customers?
I know that every business says this, but we truly do care about our customers. And it shows. Everyone on the Keller-Brown Insurance Services team goes above and beyond to ensure our customers are protected. Whether they're purchasing insurance for a new business venture or need to make a claim, we take care of our customers every step of the way.
What is the number one piece of advice you'd give to customers?
Don't just get your insurance advice from Flo, the Gecko or Limu Emu and Doug. You may pay for what you need, but what you think you need and what you actually need at the time of an insurance claim are often two different things.
That's why it's important to speak to an insurance agent who takes the time to understand your risks and budget. What is something surprising about insurance that customers might not know?
Insuring your home, car or business is not like placing an order at a restaurant. There are so many factors to consider, and we take all of that into account when helping you find the best policy.
Additionally, insurance agents are educated individuals. Our industry an
d laws are constantly evolving, and we work hard to stay informed for you. In fact, we have licenses and have to take classes to maintain them. Some people might call us "insurance nerds"....it's an illness really.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my family - another cliché! My girls are very active in sports, and my husband and I are both assistant coaches for their soccer teams. When not at soccer practice, you'll find us at their basketball games. I also like to cook and see what I can create and have recently taken up kickboxing...so watch out!
