Supporting our local fire departments is crucial for the safety and well-being of our community. In celebration of our 125th anniversary, Keller-Brown Insurance Services is proud to launch a fundraiser to raise $12,500 for five dedicated fire departments in York County. Each department plays a vital role in our community, and we want to help ensure they have the resources they need to continue their life-saving work.
Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company

Founded in 1933, Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company has a rich history of service and dedication. They engage the community through fire safety education programs and local events, fostering strong community ties. The Shrewsbury Fireman's Carnival is a highlight of the year, and we are proud to play a small role each year by helping at the funnel cake stand.
Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Company

Since 1901 Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Company has been a cornerstone of the community. Their first president, Allen M. Seitz, in 1901, is directly related to the founding of Keller-Brown Insurance Services. Eli Benjamin Keller saw an opportunity to be a part of this growth and, along with J. L. Trout, became successors to Allen M. Seitz in the fire insurance business. Known for their swift response times and community events, they are committed to fire prevention and safety.
New Freedom Rose Fire Company

New Freedom Rose Fire Company, serving since 1905, is well-known for its fire safety education and involvement in local events, such as the annual Smoke on the Rails BBQ competition, which they are proud to sponsor. In York County, our small-town atmosphere fosters strong community bonds, and events like these are vital for our camaraderie and spirit.
Eureka Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Company

Eureka Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Company, established in 1906, is dedicated to providing emergency services in the Stewartstown area. They recently demonstrated the importance of community partnership by joining the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company for joint training exercises. Additionally, with the help of crews from as far as Baltimore and Harford County, Maryland, Eureka Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Company fought a massive fire in Stewartstown.
Craley Community Fire Company

Craley Community Fire Company has been a vital part of the Craley area since 1925, with a history of dedicated service and community involvement. They engage the community through fire prevention programs and local events. As a small department, community support is paramount. In times of need, such as during the recent heat wave, they emphasize the importance of community support, such as donations of water and Gatorade for the firefighters.
