Describe your background and mission. Why do you do what you do?
Pheasant Run Greenhouse aims to inspire a love and interest in nature through gardening. We deliver quality products and create beautiful arrangements.
Crafting a thriving garden requires a lot of trial and error, so we're committed to offering fair prices. We encourage people to experiment and persevere through gardening challenges. We help our customers grow smiles in their gardens and perpetuate their curiosity and love of nature.
What is one of your best memories as a small business owner?
Every day of Springtime feels like my best memory yet. Our customers are so happy and excited to start gardening once the seasons change. I love to see the joy in people's eyes as they pick up their favorite flowers.
What do you like most about working with nature?
I love seeing plants grow from seeds. I love starting a seed, taking care of it for weeks, and then seeing it bloom. I also like to see insects and animals thriving off the plants that we grow here.
What advice would you give homeowners about gardening?
Never give up. Gardening is in large part about trial and error. I've been a grower, and sometimes things just don't go work out. And that's okay.
Learn, grow, try again, or try something new. That is part of the fun about gardening. Don't focus on the one plant that didn't do well. Focus on the magical beauty you've cultivated in the plants that thrive in your care.

The Valley Tavern saves boxes that we use for their customer, and they've always been extremely supportive of us.

Markey's Fruit Stand has been a customer, and they always have some of the best fruits and vegetables in York.
